Today, I was a frog monster. I pulled a green, frog-covered baby blanket that my mother had quilted as a gift for one of the boys over my head, and hopped around Damaris’s bedroom making frog noises. And believe you me, I was no sissy “ribbit-ing” frog. I croaked. The kids attacked me with swords and killed me. Then I ate them for dinner. We repeated this several times.
